Reflections Beauty Salon

Avoid this place if you want to have peace of mind and the hairstyle you asked for. There is no qualified hair braider in this place. They say they can do your style and then will botch it and still charge you almost full price for utter nonsense. Here is my horror story. Arrived at 11am and left at 4:15pm for a simple wash, treatment, blow dry, trim and cornrows with my natural 4c hair. They kept me waiting for HOURS despite my appointment. But that was only the beginning. They kept me under the hair dryer for a treatment for an hour. My ears and head were burnt by the time I left the dryer. They trimmed me okay. Then I waited another hour for the hair braider. This is where I should have left. Unfortunately i didn’t and what followed was the worst braiding experience of my life. I asked for stitched cornrows. I got rubbish and extremely tight hair. She pulled every strand of hair and included my thoughts in the braids even. She braided my past present and future together through my scalp. I asked for little to no gel in my hair. She packed layers of slimy gel into my head, a sticky helmet that caked white over immediately I left the salon. And the pain. The torture. The torment of having such tight braiding. It’s a miracle I survived it. I begged her to loosen her hand but she never once did. Not an ounce of empathy for my begging. (Mind you, I have gotten braided thousands of times. Never have I ever suffered so much for ordinary CORNROWS) At the end, I complained and received a $20 discount for my troubles. I paid $120 for this nasty horrible experience. And I had to wash my hair immediately I got home. And I had to take Tylenol and Advil 24/7 to survive going to work with this hairstyle and the pain from it. I gave up after three days of suffering intense migraines, pulling sensation and developing bumps on my hairlines. Who did I offend to suffer such tribulations?? I felt brutalized by the end of it all. Don’t come here if you like having hair on your head cuz they will snatch that as well as your peace of mind. If you doubt me, see the attached exhibits: what I asked for, vs what I got

Good morning First time going to this salon. My husband is very pleased with my hair. He put me under the lights after getting home trying to find any flaws then shook his head and said nicely done. Stylist Deidre : Appreciate the patience you had to aim for perfection. Most of all my appointment time was mine alone, did not have to wait. Thanks again Pleasant atmosphere in the shop. Michelle the owner was so welcoming as you entered. Music was highly appreciated. Will definitely be back

I love Reflections Salon!!! Everytime I go my hair grows stronger and faster. Michelle has magic hands, she always cuts and treats my hair with care. My hair has been growing so fast since I started doing regular deep conditioning treatments and blowout here. If you’re wondering if you should come, you absolutely should especially if you have curly hair. The prices are far more reasonable than anything in the city. I’m always satisfied!
